Experience of a Lifetime

In the midst of the stress of midterm exams, papers, and projects, interning has become my stress-free environment that I look forward to each week. I never imagined that I would love a job so much that it's making me sad that I see the end coming near in just three weeks...where has the time gone?!

This past weekend I had the experience of a lifetime for any person that has an interest in visual merchandising. Instead of going into work on Friday, as I usually would do, I went into New York on Saturday to help set the floors for the new Tommy shop in the Macy's in Herald Square, which is the largest Macy's in the world! It was so incredible to be working in such an iconic and historical building that everyone around the world knows about. Even better, this was a huge moment for Tommy Hilfiger as well, as this is they're biggest shop yet in wholesale, so my supervisor called it "monumental." I'm excited to see what going into work this week has in store, so I can hear how the rest of the weekend went with setting up and opening the shop!

  1. I am so glad that you really genuinely enjoy your coop! Thats awesome and I wish mine was the same way. Do you will continue to work with the company after graduation? It seems like you are truly investing in the wellbeing of the company and they would be lucky to have you as part of their team!

  2. (Tried to comment, not sure if it went through so I'm trying again)

I feel you with the whole time-flying thing. It's pretty crazy. How are classes going to feel after this?
And I'm sure you're proud of being a part of something "monumental". I bet that'll be a lasting memory :) Congrats!
