Duke and Winston is a small company that has been growing rapidly in the past few years. Today was an important day for the company as they opened a pop up shop in Bryn Mar. This will allow them to be closer to their customer base, and therefore be able to grow their income. Hopefully this will become a more permanent state for them.
Working in their showroom, which is currently their only store front, I have noticed the customer they are hoping to reach does not live around here. The people who come in are either just browsing and obviously not interested in the product or they have traveled a little ways to find the product. Many people decide to order online instead of making the trip. While online ordering is still good for sales it keeps distance between the consumer and the brand and also halts impulse purchasing. Hopefully the more Duke and Winston grows and reaches out to other locations the better they will do and I hope to be a part of this journey as I have been for the last few months.
